Sky Priority Now Available At Dublin Airport

April 24, 2013 by Michele Neylon 6 Comments

Sky Priority has been rolling out across airports worldwide over the last year or so. Unfortunately it’s been quite patchy, with some airports offering a Sky Priority checkin desk and little else.

Dublin Airport, for example, was a total mess. Depending on the day of the week, the time of the day and whoever was on the checkin desk you might have got access to the lounge and the security fast track lane or you might not. You never knew what would happen.

Now, however, this appears to have been resolved.

This morning I was informed that simply showing my boarding pass with  Sky Priority on it would be enough to get me fast track security access and lounge access.

I’m delighted!

Fast track security saved me about 20 minutes of standing in a line this morning and will save me many hours over the coming months, as I often end up hitting Dublin airport during the peak early morning hours.

    Thanks for your post.
I am still not sure this is fully implemented.
Lat year on a Business class AF ticket Sky Priority I was not allowed to use the fast track access by the person at the area. I had to argue my case and eventually I was allowed in. it was a very unpleasant situation and the agent was very friendly.
I will in a few months fly again from Dub airport on a sky priority ticked and I hope this does not happen again.
    Regards.

Interesting. I fly with Air France / KLM regularly out of Dublin and I’ve never had issues getting access to the fast track line. If it happens again I’d flag it with the AF / KLM staff.

Can anyone comment on the situation now, in mid-April 2022? Thanks.

      Sorry about the delayed response.

If you have Sky Priority status then you will have access to both fast track and the lounge in Dublin Airport.
Dublin Airport stopped selling fast track access to the public due to demand, but if you had access via the class of flight you booked or your status with an airline you still have access

I am Platinum with KLM (which gives Sky Priority) but am flying Aer Lingus (was not other option for the day/time). Will I still be able to use Fast Track based on my Platinum status with KLM if I show my Platinum card or not. Any idea?

          Unlikely I’m afraid.
The staff at the Fast Track gate usually base access off the boarding pass, so one from AF/KLM would scan fine, but an Aer Lingus one wouldn’t.
Of course you could chance your arm, but I wouldn’t guarantee it – it’s the main reason why I have Airport Club membership.
