Dublin Airport’s owners DAA will be grilled by the government later today about how they plan to mitigate the current issues facing passengers at the airport.
So what is the plan?
Apparently passengers will be triaged on arrival and only given access to the terminal building 3.5 hours in advance of longhaul flights and 2.5 hours before short haul ones.
Of course the concept of a “holding area” is leading to some quite amusing reactions on social media:

While it’s good that DAA are trying to fix the issues with the queues and delays at the airport relegating passengers to “holding areas” and “pens” isn’t going to be well received by most.
