Citizen M are opening their latest property tomorrow at Paris Charles de Gaulle.
The chain recently opened a hotel in New York’s Time Square.
What makes Citizen M different? The hotels are all ultra-modern and quirky. While many hotels have embraced new technologies to a greater or lesser degree, Citizen M have gone “all in” with hotel guests being able to check themselves in and out, get keys and do many other things you’d normally have to rely on hotel staff to do. All rooms come with free wifi and feature very generously sized beds.
I stayed in one of their properties, the Amsterdam one, last year and I was really impressed with the little details.
The new hotel is right beside the airport:
This is important, as a lot of the hotels that advertise themselves as being at Charles de Gaulle really aren’t – they’re a good 15 to 20 minutes away on a shuttle, so you can easily spend an hour or more getting to or from a hotel.
Here’s the breakdown from their site:
- Rates from 79 Euro / night
- XL king size bed
- ultra soft high thread count linen
- wall to wall window
- high pressure rain shower
- citizenM custom MoodPad
- free Wi-Fi
- free (latest) movies
- ambient lighting
- Vitra design furniture
- full length mirror
- in-room safe
- LED TV
- hairdryer (and not the dodgy kind)
