Aer Lingus’ cabin crew have threatened industrial action for May 30th.
It looks like the strike will go ahead and the company is working on mitigating the strike action’s impact on their customers:
Dear Customers,
Aer Lingus, on 13 May, received notification from IMPACT, the trade union representing the majority of our Cabin Crew, that it intends to engage in strike action for a 24 hour period commencing at 00:01 on Friday 30th May.
We continue to engage in discussions with the trade union on the issues in dispute.We wish to assure our customers that we will do all in our power to prevent any disruption to their travel plans. We sincerely apologise to customers for the uncertainty this threatened industrial action causes.
Aer Lingus Regional services are not affected in any way by this dispute. The full Aer Lingus Regional schedule will operate on 30th May. Services to and from Belfast are also entirely unaffected and will operate in full.
Our operations team will now commence a planning process aimed at minimising the effects on our flight schedule. We will inform customers via this website and all other available channels of communication of further developments in the coming days.
